• Anyone who subscribes to your newsletter. If you put a link on your website or give a subscription form for someone to complete they have subscribed to your newsletter. You can send them emails until they ask you to stop.
• Anyone whose email address you acquire in the normal course of business. This means all customers who give you their email address when they purchase something from you. You may send them one unsolicited email. If they do not unsubscribe after the first email, you may continue sending them emails until they ask you to stop.
  •  All our email templates include a clear unsubscribe link, which automatically unsubscribes this customer from your database. Even if you send us an update with their email address on it, we will not send them emails.

Who am I forbidden to send newsletters/emails to?

• Any email address acquired other than in the normal course of your business.
• Any purchased list of email addresses unless they are chattel in the sale of a business.
• Anyone who has expressly stated that they do not wish to receive emails or who has unsubscribed from your mailing list.

How safe is my database?

Your mailing list is one of the most valuable assets your business has. The only possible exception would be if we received a court order to release a list to the police.
